Leasing a Ford
Ford's center of gravity in America is the truck bed. F-Series closed 2025 with 828,832 US deliveries, making it the best-selling vehicle in the country and, per SlashGear's and Carscoops' reporting of Ford's year-end numbers, a 49th straight year as America's best-selling truck. Ford's US total reached roughly 2.2 million, its strongest since 2019, with Super Duty posting its best year since 2004 and Explorer up nearly 15%. EV volume went the other way, down 14%.
Coverage is easy to plan a lease around. New Fords carry a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, 5 years/60,000 miles on the powertrain and the safety restraint system, and 5 years of unlimited-mileage corrosion perforation coverage. Power Stroke diesels get 5 years/100,000 miles. Components unique to Ford's electric and hybrid vehicles, high-voltage battery included, run 8 years/100,000 miles, with the battery warranted to retain at least 70% of its original capacity.
Driver assistance is bundled under the Ford Co-Pilot360 name; Consumer Reports described it as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane-keeping assist and automatic high beams, though content still varies by model and trim. Safety results are uneven. IIHS rates the 2025 Explorer built after June 2025 a Top Safety Pick+, with Good scores in the small overlap, moderate overlap and side tests, while Motor1 reported the F-150 among the best-sellers that missed a 2025 award after IIHS added a rear-seat dummy to its testing.
Reliability is improving rather than leading: J.D. Power's 2025 US Vehicle Dependability Study put the industry at 202 problems per 100 vehicles and moved Ford up ten spots to 13th. Resale is the stronger leasing argument — iSeeCars measures five-year value retention at 80.4% for the F-350 Super Duty, 76.4% for the F-250 and 62.1% for the F-150, versus 47.4% for the Expedition.

Why lease a Ford through Swift Autos
A broker sits on your side of the desk. We aren't moving one store's inventory to hit one store's month-end number — we locate the specific F-150, Explorer or Transit configuration you asked for across the franchise network in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, then put the whole payment in writing: capitalized cost, residual, money factor, acquisition fee, taxes and DMV. That lets you compare a number to a number instead of to a monthly payment with unstated assumptions. Business and commercial leasing is a real part of what we do: Super Duty, Transit and E-Transit units for contractors, trades and delivery operations, upfits included, structured in the company's name. We don't set Ford's lease programs. What we control is showing you exactly what they are.
Ford lease questions
What warranty coverage comes with a leased Ford?
Ford's New Vehicle Limited Warranty runs 3 years or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper, with the powertrain and safety restraint system covered 5 years or 60,000 miles and corrosion perforation covered 5 years with no mileage cap. Power Stroke diesel engines get 5 years or 100,000 miles. On a 24- or 36-month lease within your mileage allowance, factory coverage effectively spans the whole term.
What covers the battery on a Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning lease?
Ford covers components unique to its electric and hybrid vehicles, including the high-voltage battery, for 8 years or 100,000 miles, and warrants the battery to retain at least 70% of its original capacity. Because a lease usually ends at two or three years, long-term degradation and battery-replacement risk stays with the leasing company rather than with you.
Can I lease a Ford truck or van for my business?
Yes, and it is a meaningful share of our Ford volume. Super Duty, Transit and E-Transit lease readily in a company name for contractors, trades and delivery operations, and upfits can be arranged before delivery. Automotive Fleet reported Ford Pro as the number one brand for Class 1-7 electric trucks and vans in 2024. Ask your accountant about deductibility — we quote the vehicle, not the tax treatment.
Which Fords does Swift Autos actually lease?
Our catalog leans heavily toward trucks and SUVs, which is where Ford's volume sits: F-150, Super Duty, Bronco, Explorer, Expedition, Escape and E-Transit. That mirrors the market — F-Series sold 828,832 units in the US in 2025 and was the country's single best-selling vehicle. We can quote a Mustang or Mach-E on request, but trucks and SUVs are our day-to-day work.
Do Fords hold value well enough for a competitive lease payment?
It depends heavily on the model. iSeeCars measures five-year value retention at 80.4% for the F-350 Super Duty, 76.4% for the F-250 and 62.1% for the F-150, but 49.9% for the Explorer and 47.4% for the Expedition. Retention feeds the residual, and the residual drives most of a monthly payment, which is why heavy-duty trucks often price more favorably than large SUVs.
How reliable is Ford, and does leasing change that risk?
Ford is mid-pack and moving up. J.D. Power's 2025 US Vehicle Dependability Study put the industry average at 202 problems per 100 vehicles — the highest since 2009 — and lifted Ford ten places to 13th, with infotainment and software driving complaints industry-wide. A short lease keeps you inside the 3-year/36,000-mile warranty for most or all of the term, which is the practical hedge.
