Leasing a Lexus

Lexus is Toyota's luxury division, and that lineage shows up where a lease actually lives: running costs and resale. Lexus's own 2026 RX 350h Warranty and Services Guide sets the terms — 48 months/50,000 miles basic, 72 months/70,000 miles on powertrain and restraint systems, 72 months of corrosion-perforation coverage regardless of mileage, and roadside assistance for 48 months regardless of mileage. Hybrids add 8 years/100,000 miles on hybrid system components and 10 years/150,000 miles on the hybrid battery. Lexus also covers the first two scheduled services, at 6 months/5,000 miles and 12 months/10,000 miles — the first year of a 36-month lease, not the whole term.

J.D. Power's 2026 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study ranked Lexus highest of any brand for a fourth straight year, at 151 problems per 100 vehicles against a 204 industry average, measured on three-year-old 2023 models. Consumer Reports places Lexus third for brand reliability, behind Toyota and Subaru, and notes every Lexus model rates average or better. Kelley Blue Book named Lexus its Best Resale Value luxury brand for 2026 — a fifth consecutive win — projecting roughly 47% of MSRP retained after five years. That last one isn't trivia: residual value is half of a lease payment's math.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard on the 2026 NX, bundling a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection/braking, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist and automatic high beams. The NX is also a 2026 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+.

The names are simpler than they look: letters are the model line, the number is the powertrain grade. NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+ are all the same NX — gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid. RZ is the battery-electric one.

Why lease a Lexus through Swift Autos

A broker sits on your side of the desk. We work the same captive-lender programs a dealership does — the residual and money factor come from the lender, not from us, so nobody can invent a rate that doesn't exist. What we can do is take the same NX or RX to several Lexus stores across NY, NJ and CT, compare what each will actually discount off MSRP, and put the numbers next to each other before you sign anything. You get one quote with the fees itemized, no afternoon lost in a showroom, and delivery to your door in most of the tri-state area. If a dealer beats our number, take the dealer's deal — that's a fair outcome too.

Lexus lease questions

Will the factory warranty cover my whole lease?

For most terms, yes. Lexus's 2026 warranty guide lists basic coverage at 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, so a 24- or 36-month lease finishes inside it as long as you stay under the mileage. Powertrain coverage runs 72 months/70,000 miles, and roadside assistance lasts 48 months regardless of mileage. High-mileage leases are the case worth checking.

Is scheduled maintenance included?

Partly, and it's worth knowing the limit. Lexus covers the first two scheduled services — at six months/5,000 miles and 12 months/10,000 miles, whichever comes first — which is roughly year one. After that, service at the normal six-month/5,000-mile interval is your cost unless you buy a prepaid plan. Budget for it; this is not a three-year free-maintenance program.

Why do Lexus lease payments often look reasonable for a luxury car?

Residual value. A lease charges you the gap between the price today and what the car is projected to be worth at turn-in, so a higher projection means less depreciation to pay for. Kelley Blue Book named Lexus its 2026 Best Resale Value luxury brand, a fifth consecutive win, projecting about 47% of original MSRP retained after five years.

Is an RX 350h a different model from an RX 350?

Same model, different powertrain. The letters name the vehicle — NX, RX, ES, GX, TX, LX, IS, LC, LS, UX, RZ — and the number is the powertrain grade. On the 2026 NX, the 350 is a 2.4-liter turbo gas engine, the 350h is a hybrid, and the 450h+ is a plug-in hybrid rated by the EPA at 37 electric-only miles.

Is Lexus really as dependable as people claim?

Two independent measures say yes. J.D. Power's 2026 Vehicle Dependability Study ranked Lexus highest of all brands for a fourth consecutive year, at 151 problems per 100 three-year-old vehicles against a 204 industry average, from 33,268 owners of 2023 models. Consumer Reports ranks Lexus third for brand reliability behind Toyota and Subaru, noting every model rates average or better.

Should I lease the hybrid or the gas version?

On a lease, the long battery coverage matters less than you'd expect — Lexus warrants the hybrid battery for 10 years/150,000 miles and hybrid system components for 8 years/100,000 miles, both well past a typical term. The real questions are fuel savings at your annual mileage and how each version's residual and current programs price out. We'll quote both side by side.
